Rotated in light the surface appears black and reflects like a mirror, rotate again it is gray green with great depth, very lustrous. Collected by Jimmy Pettit of New Jersey way back in the 1960s. Jimmy was a friend and fellow club member of John's father.
Mica is a natural mineral with a vitreous to pearly luster, which forms in multiple distinct layers.
