Countless beautiful green garnets in white matrix
Dimensions (millimeters); 50 x 30 x 15
Dimensions (inches): 2 x 1.2 x .6
from Jeffrey Mine, Asbestos, Quebec, Canada
These stunningly large demantoid crystals were briefly available as only a small zone was found. I snapped up what I could afford. A true collector's gemstone mineral specimen.
Demantoid garnet is a green variety of andradite garnet, colored by chromium and ferric iron. The gem was first discovered in Russia and the name is derived from its diamond-like adamantine luster.
