Creedite is a rare mineral and fortunately for all of us during the past 20 years a major deposit of it has been discovered and mined in Mexico. The access tunnels to the mine have now collapsed! Some of the old Mexican mines were never timbered for stability.
Creedite is named for Creede, Colorado where it was first identified about 100 years ago.
As fragile as it may look it is actually very durable.
