This unique chrysocolla specimen is from Mina Ojuela, Mapimi, Durango, Mexico. Mina Ojuela is the mine that keeps giving with the first historically recorded mining starting in 1598. The specimen is varying shades of chrysocolla pseudomorphing crystals likely gypsum growing on another mineral probably smithsonite. Colorful and intriguing.
