Exceptionally large and very rare crystal of Afghanite in Marble Rock Matrix. Collector's Mineral Specimen.
Afghanite is a very rare mineral closely related to Lazurite. Before the discovery at Rabot, Kokcha Valley, Afghanistan it was only known as tiny blebs in rocks.
The Afghanites have an orange fluorescence that add even more to their interest. Distinguished aesthetics and impact make this specimen stand out. This is the Type Locality for Afghanite.
